AOC has launched a program to support new works, with a focus on Equity-seeking artists. This program, in its pilot year, helps new creators in the fields of opera and music theatre to produce their works, get them on stage, and get them on the road.
This program invited creators (Composers, librettists, and producers) to submit ideas at any stage of development.
5 projects have been juried to receive a special boost of support. All 30 applicants have been offered individual coaching on production and partnership development, a spot in our new Online Showcase, and free participation in a set of networking and market development events.

– Commissioning and Co-commissioning
– Producing and Co-producing
– Presenting and Touring
– Respectful / Right Relations when collaborating with equity-seeking artists and serving equity-seeking communities.
13:00 Pitch Session featuring 5 juried works
14:00 Facilitated networking session – meet up to 30 creative teams. Learn more about the exciting works they are building. Imagine how you might work together to better serve your diverse audiences.
