OPERA BONDS – Explainer
A pool of capital raised through an investment opportunity. The capital raised would be loaned to organizations and individuals in the opera sector to fund programs and activities that generate a social and financial return.
OPERA BONDS – An Exploration
Through a Canada Council for the Arts Seed grant, AOC engaged with Social Innovation Canada in the early stage exploration of the use of social finance in the opera sector.
Our work together comprised 5 stages phases:
- Board presentation/consultation (November 2023)
- Opera Summit Consultation (November 2023)
- Webinar – Virtual Consultation (February 2024
- Readiness Survey (March-April 2024)
- Findings Report (May/June 2024)
